WordPress 2.7 Add New Plugins – a New and Easy Way To Install Plugins
There is a new way to install plugins in WordPress 2.7, more fun and easier compare with the previous version of WordPress.
Now in WordPress 2.7 we can find plugins that we want to install directly from our blog Admin interface, just click, click and click, and its done :)
Following are the details step-by-step on how to install a plugins in WordPress 2.7
1. Click the “Add New” in the Plugins menu.
2. In the Add New plugin page, we can do a search for plugin on WordPress.org plugins database directly from here, or we could also see the latest plugin or most popular plugins from here too. In addition, we also could install the plugin from. Zip files that we have on our local computer hard disks.
3. I try to search using keyword “similar posts”, I hope it will show me the “Similar Posts” plugin. Unfortunately, the search results have not been so good, many plugins do not related to the “Similar Posts” plugin also appear on this search results.
4. After getting the plugin that we want to install, click the Install link on the top right corner, and WordPress will overshadow the browser page and bring up the Plugin Information page to us. Quite similar with the Image Viewer or Install Themes that previously introduced since WordPress 2.5.
5. Click the Install button with orange background to begin installing the plugin to our WordPress blog, and we are done.
It’s easy, similar to the One Click Updater plugin. We are no longer need to download and upload the plugin to our hosting server manually.
